When you pick a fight with someone who is big, strong and well … Zack Kassian of Vancouver, and you’re getting beat up, there is but one logical choice. Turtle!
Check out this ‘fight’ Vine between Anaheim’s Patrick Maroon and Kassian in Monday's game between the Ducks and Canucks. It's a little short and disjointed, but you get the point.
In spite of the internet snark that has been tossed Maroon’s way since this play, I laud him for realizing the damage of fighting Kassian would be far worse than the shame of a turtle.
Kassian got two minutes for roughing, Maroon got a rough and a trip of Henrik Sedin. But at least he didn’t get his brains bashed in.
