“The FIA has announced that the "Arrowscreen” along with the “Halo” concept will both be tested in a few weeks ahead of the #MonacoGP. Teams are already designing their new cars for the different rules next season and the FIA is pushing ahead with the idea of better protecting the drivers heads for 2017. In the recent weeks the #FIA announced it had set a July deadline for the cockpit protection plan, but the car designers say that is too late. “We are already extremely late with a detail that will have a serious impact on the design of the car,” Williams Martini Racing’s’ Pat Symonds has said. The FIA has designed a new “Halo” design which is not made of carbon or steel but of titanium. The FIA claim it is much more elegant and aero-profiled than the #Ferrari version. Both the new “Halo” and the #RedBull designed “Aeroscreen” will be tested on the Thursday ahead of the #MonacoGrandPrix. #NASCAR #IndyCar #F1 #Formula1 #Racing #Motorsports #FormulaE #Race #Motorsport #Speed" by @lastlapinsider on Instagram http://ift.tt/1Tky3zy
